Entryway Security Products Door Intercom & Viewer

The crime of HOME INVASION can be one of the most violent a person can encounter. Most families are not aware of the extreme dangers connected with home invasions. Home invasion robberies are scary and most of the victims that have been targeted have been seniors. The crime itself threatens our belief that the safest place is in our homes. Criminals generally look for opportunities that require the least effort and offer the lowest risk with a high gain.

Home Invasions are becoming all to common in today's society. You read about them all the time in the newspapers, hear about it on the radio and the nightly news on TV. This problem is becoming a worldwide epidemic and will only get worse.

Many home invasions start by the criminal tricking the home owner into opening the door. When your door is unlocked and opened just slightly, even if a safety chain is used, the person trying to invade your home is almost given a welcome invitation to come on in by simply pushing or kicking their way in.  This is why police and security specialists always warn home owners to know "exactly" who it is on the other side of the door, before you even think about unlocking the door.

How many times has your shower been interrupted by someone knocking at your door?

Even if the person tells you that they are a representative of a utility company, phone company or even law enforcement, if their visit is unexpected you should always follow-up by asking for their name and ID number so that you can call their office to confirm the reason for being at your door is legit. This is difficult to do when you have to literally yell through your house door, especially if the person is purposely speaking in a low tone or mumbling just so you'll open the door slightly to be able to hear them clearly.

Now with the introduction of the Entryway Door Viewer and Intercom System this safety issue can be easily addressed and used in virtually every home, business or other location where a door becomes your possible "Last Stand of Defense". The inventor, Mr. Gary Hawkins, has more than 30 years of law enforcement experience and has seen more than his share of home invasions. After seeing the problems first-hand he decided there was a need for a safety device that could allow a person to keep that Last Line of Defense closed and locked but still see and communicate with the person on the other side.

With the Entryway Security System you won't have to get dressed only to tell the person trying to sell you something that you're not interested.

His goal was to create a product that was high quality, could withstand the outside elements, was very simple to use & install, and could be sold at a price affordable by everyone. After many years of development and numerous changes in prototypes, he introduced the Entryway Eagle.

Easy to install, no tools required, this unique security system is a door chime, 1-way peephole viewer, listening device and two-way intercom system. The Entryway product allows you to view through the peephole (180°) to see who is on the other side. It also lets you secretly listen to any activity happening outside the door as well as conversing with the visitor using the quality two-way intercom system.

Some Tips To Further Protect You And Your Family From Being The Victim Of A Home Invasion

1.)  Make sure you check your caller's identity and know their purpose before admitting them. It is advisable to have a wide angle viewer (peep-hole) & intercom in the door so that you can check a person's identity without unlocking your door. Never automatically open your front door.

2.)  If the person at your door is a stranger, ask for identification to be passed under the door. If he is unable to do this, do not admit him. If you do, you are asking for a home invasion robbery.

3. Keep all doors locked whenever possible.

4.)  Always keep the window shades closed (at night) especially in the Kitchen. Believe it or not, most kitchen windows do not have treatments. Exposed windows can tell the criminal element a lot about how vulnerable you are

If you need more information on home invasion / robbery prevention call your local police for suggestions.
